The Songs and Life of Enzo Jannacci
Paolo Jannacci voice, piano
Enzo Gentile journalist
Everything you wanted to know about Enzo Jannacci but never dared to ask. In 2013, we lost an artist who made Italian music and entertainment great from the late 1950s. Enzo Jannacci was a curious musician who wrote and sang to tell our everyday stories; he is remembered as a successful figure in theater, television, and cinema. He was a doctor deeply committed to his profession and made ‘his’ Milan a privileged place to support and take care of the most humble and marginalized population. Through records and songs, from the stage and the small screen, there are many ways to understand who Enzo Jannacci was: this concert is a testimony of his career presented by his son Paolo, who was also a close collaborator from concerts to the recording studio and with Enzo Gentile, a journalist who saw him up close and knew him well. Together they will discuss his life, and give us the pleasure to listen again to some of the songs that make up the soundtrack of our country.
