Javier Girotto: soprano sax
Marco Siniscalco: electric bass
Alessandro Gwis: piano, keyboards
Francesco De Rubeis: drums, percussion
In 1994 Girotto founded this group drawing inspiration from his musical roots blended with expressive modalities typical of jazz to create a new musical terrain.
With explicit references to the music of the great Astor Piazzolla, Javier Girotto & Aires Tango have developed a repertoire of original music that is in progressive evolution; both for its creative drive and for the continuous reimagining of musical material.
Javier Girotto & Aires Tango are celebrating three decades of music, representing nearly 1,000 shared stages at festivals and events around the world. For this anniversary, they have just recorded their thirteenth album titled “30”.
The music of Javier Girotto & Aires Tango is entertaining, sometimes dramatic, poignant, descriptive and committed, where each of the four musicians is a valuable soloist.
The result is a sound that moves through a range of musical dynamics rich with unexpected turns: from shouted moments to sudden hushed whispers.
