They’re a miniature orchestra, shimmering like the forged brass of its instruments, capable of whispering, shouting, roaring, surprising, entertaining, and moving.
While the classical music tradition includes a brass quintet or a trombone quartet, in this project the musicians wanted to achieve the essence of transforming and adapting the conventions of jazz and improvisational language to a stripped-down lineup of just three instruments, much like the three notes of a major triad. If the trombone can be considered the instrument closest to the human voice, it is also an instrument of infinite musical, sonic, and effect-driven possibilities, explored by the trio through continuous experimentation across blues, folk music, contemporary music, chorales, and much more.
In the fall of 2024 their self-titled debut album was released on HORA Records. In addition to original compositions by the three musicians, the album includes reinterpretations of songs by some great composers in the history of jazz including John Coltrane, Egberto Gismonti, Carla Bley, Duke Ellington.

What could be better than admiring Valtellina while walking to an AmbriaJazz Festival concert?
This is a special #jazzcamminante because along the route, our guide will tell us about the architectural wonders of the San Giorgio church complex: a cluster of religious buildings layered over the centuries. We will recognize the medieval remains left by the De Piro family, of which Castel Grumello is just one of three archaeological sites.
Departure at 4:00 PM from the small square in front of the Church of San Giorgio, arriving at the concert by 6:00 PM.
We recommend parking near the castle and walking up to San Giorgio along Via Pace, Via Ponte Prada, and Via Risch dei Mort, taking advantage of the cooling effect of the Davaglione stream. This route will take you less than half an hour.
