\u201cThe accordion from classical to tango\u201d<\/strong><\/p>

is the musical journey that Ugo Viola offers us in this concert lesson. The event takes place on the occasion of the festival that AMMI aps organizes for San Giovanni. <\/p>

“Since childhood and adolescence, I have been performing pieces that enhance the peculiarities of my instrument: the accordion, starting from J.S. Bach’s Prelude and Fugue to the classical accordion repertoire, from the French Valzer Musette to Astor Piazzolla’s Tango.”<\/p>

Ugo Viola<\/strong> is a musician, artistic director, and teacher with extensive experience. From a young age, Ugo embarked on his musical journey with the chromatic accordion, graduating under the guidance of maestro Ezio Saravalli. His career has been distinguished by numerous successes in international accordion competitions, including the First Prize at the 10th International Young Accordionists Festival in Recanati (1973) and the International Accordion Trophy City of Veroli (1983). <\/p>

In addition to his career as a musician, he has played a fundamental role in the educational field, with teaching experiences in schools and musical institutions, as well as serving as director of numerous musical associations. Since 1998, he has also been the founder and artistic director of the Moncalieri Jazz Festival<\/em>, an event that has gained international recognition, collaborating with prestigious entities such as Radio Rai 1 and Radio Scrigno. <\/p>

His concert career has seen him perform in numerous high-level contexts, including collaborations with world-renowned artists such as Luciano Pavarotti and Ricky Martin, as well as performances with the National Symphony Orchestra of Rai and participation in projects like Pavarotti & Friends<\/em>. He has also recorded soundtracks for cinema and television, including those for films by Marco Bellocchio and director Antonello Grimaldi, and has played for highly successful television dramas. <\/p><\/div>

ATTENTION:<\/strong> You can reach San Giovanni by car, but parking will be along the narrow road. We encourage carpooling: it is possible to use the Montagna cemetery parking lot as a car-sharing point.
